Managing your Crushon AI profile is straightforward once you know where the settings live. This guide covers everything from updating your display name and notification preferences to deleting your Crushon AI account entirely.

Accessing Your Crushon AI Profile Settings

Your Crushon AI profile settings are tucked behind the profile icon in the bottom right corner of the app. Tap it, and you'll see your account summary: username, join date, number of created characters, and recent activity. The settings gear icon sits in the top right of this screen.

From the settings menu, you can manage:

Display name and avatar. Change how you appear to your AI characters. Your display name is what characters call you in conversation. It's separate from your login username. Change it anytime. There's no cooldown or limit.
Language preferences. Crushon AI supports over 15 languages. The app detects your device language by default, but you can override this in settings. Characters respond in whichever language you write in, regardless of this setting. The language setting mainly affects the app interface.
Notification controls. Turn character check-in notifications on or off. When enabled, AI characters can send you messages unprompted, mimicking a real messaging app. Some users find this engaging. Others find it intrusive. Toggle it to your preference.
Content mode default. You can set whether the unfiltered toggle starts on or off when you open the app. This is a convenience setting. You can always flip the toggle during use regardless of the default.
Chat history management. View and delete individual conversations or clear your entire chat history. Clearing history is permanent and can't be undone. Conversations are stored server-side, so deleting them from your device removes them everywhere.

How to Delete Your Crushon AI Account

Deleting your Crushon AI account permanently removes everything: your profile, your created characters, your chat history, and your subscription. Here's how to do it:

1. Open the Crushon AI app and tap the profile icon in the bottom right.

2. Tap the settings gear icon in the top right corner.

3. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the settings menu.

4. Look for "Delete Account" or "Account Deletion." It's usually the last option in the menu.

5. Tap it. The app will ask you to confirm. Read the warning carefully. It'll tell you exactly what gets deleted.

6. Confirm the deletion. You may need to re-enter your password for verification.

7. Your account is marked for deletion. The process may not be instant. Some platforms take up to 30 days to fully purge account data.

If you have an active Crushon AI subscription, cancel it before deleting your account. Account deletion doesn't automatically cancel billing. Your personal chat history is deleted. Conversations you had with AI characters are purged from Crushon AI servers. This is permanent. There's no recovery.

Your subscription ends. If you paid for a plan, you lose access to premium features immediately upon deletion. Remaining subscription time is typically not refunded, though this depends on the platform's terms of service.

Alternatives to Full Account Deletion

Before you nuke your entire Crushon AI profile, consider less drastic options:

Log out and stop using the app. If you just want a break, logging out achieves the same outcome as deletion without losing everything. Your account stays dormant. You can come back anytime.
Clear your chat history. If privacy is the concern, deleting individual conversations or clearing all chat history removes the sensitive data without deleting your account.
Delete specific characters. If you're embarrassed by certain creations, you can delete individual characters without removing your entire profile. Go to the character's page, open settings, and choose delete. The character disappears from the public library, and its chat history is removed from your account.
Change your display name and avatar. If you want a fresh start without losing your account, change your identifying information. All your characters and conversations stay intact. Only how you appear changes.

Beyond account deletion, there are privacy settings worth reviewing:

Your created characters are public by default. Anyone on the platform can find and chat with them. If you want to keep a character private, set it to "unpublished" or "private" in the character settings. Private characters are only visible to you.
Your chat history with public characters is visible to you only. Other users can't see your conversations with characters. The AI character itself "learns" from all conversations, which affects how it responds, but other users can't read your specific messages.
Your profile doesn't display any personal information beyond your username and avatar. Your email address, real name, and account details are not visible to other Crushon AI users.
