Season 86 is built around a chaotic Viking-and-bear theme, with Supercell framing it as “K.H.A.O.S” and tying the whole update together with new hero cards, special modes, and a seasonal reward system. In practical terms, this is a content-heavy season focused on gameplay variety rather than just a single balance pass.

New Heroes

Hero Valkyrie

Hero Valkyrie arrives with the ability Wild Whirlwind, which lets her whirl toward nearby enemies and spin through them for damage. Supercell says she still takes damage while spinning, so her ability is powerful for pressure and crowd control, but it is not invulnerability.

Unlock method: upgrade Pass Royale or use Hero Coins at season start.
Ability name: Wild Whirlwind.
Playstyle: aggressive, fast-moving area damage.
Tradeoff: she can still be damaged during the spin.

Hero Berserker

Hero Berserker uses Savage Survival, a burst ability that makes her hit faster and become “unbeatable” for a few seconds. Supercell positions her as a high-pressure melee hero, and her unlock event begins through Ken’s C.H.A.O.S Draft League under the Unleash the Beast event.

New Evolution

Elite Barbarians Evolution

The new Evolution for Season 86 is Elite Barbarians Evolution, which adds a Rage-themed twist to the card. According to Supercell, Evolved Elite Barbarians throw Rage-tipped spears every few seconds and create an enraging path for allies, which suggests a mix of ranged pressure and support utility.

Seasonal Evolution: Elite Barbarians.

Game modes

Supercell says the season will rotate through several C.H.A.O.S variants, each with its own twist. These are meant to keep the season fresh by changing the draft or elixir rules week by week.

C.H.A.O.S Triple Draft runs August 17 to September 7.
C.H.A.O.S Epic Only runs August 17 to August 24.
C.H.A.O.S Sudden Death runs August 24 to August 31.
C.H.A.O.S Infinite Elixir runs August 31 to September 7.
Players can also host customized C.H.A.O.S Draft tournaments.

Competitive events

Ken’s C.H.A.O.S Draft League

This is the season’s competitive league event, running from August 3 to August 17. Supercell says players can earn a League Badge by reaching 15 wins, making it the first major progression challenge of the season.

Ken’s C.H.A.O.S Mega Draft

The global tournament takes place from August 24 to 29 and focuses on proving yourself in a larger competitive environment. Supercell says top performers can earn an exclusive badge, and the top 10,000 players get a Leaderboard Finisher Badge.

Event window: August 24 to 29.
Mode: Mega Draft.
Reward: exclusive badge and bragging rights.
Extra reward: Leaderboard Finisher Badge for top 10,000.

Ken’s Shop

Ken’s Shop is a season-specific reward system powered by K.H.A.O.S Tokens, which Supercell describes as limited-time currency earned through events, the Shop, and giveaways. This makes the season feel more like a progression track with multiple ways to earn rewards rather than a single one-time event.

New currency: K.H.A.O.S Tokens.
