If you've been waiting for Genshin Impact to drop something genuinely new, version 6.7 is the one. It isn't just another patch with a character and some events. This update opens two entirely new zones in Nod-Krai, introduces a Fatui Harbinger as a playable character, and brings back several of the game's most-wanted reruns all at once. Is it worth the update size? Let's break it down.

Genshin Impact Version 6.7, titled "Summer Fontinalia," went live on July 1, 2026 after a roughly five-hour server maintenance. If you're at Adventure Rank 5 or above, you can claim 600 Primogems total from your in-game mailbox. That's 300 for the maintenance downtime and another 300 for bug fixes. Not a bad start.

    Update at a Glance

Here's a quick look at what the Luna VIII patch brings to the table:

    • New 5-star character: Sandrone (Cryo, Claymore), the Fatui Harbinger known as "The Marionette," joins the playable roster with her signature claymore
    • Two new areas: Dunana Chasm and the Frost Moon expand Nod-Krai's map with fresh exploration, world quests, and the new Ancient Moon Remnants system
    • Loaded banner schedule: Phase 1 features Sandrone and Citlali reruns alongside a Heavenlit Prophecy chronicled wish; Phase 2 brings back Columbina and Raiden Shogun
    • Summer Fontinalia event: the flagship version event rewards a free Charlotte outfit and Primogems through a series of themed challenges
    • Quality-of-life updates: new fishing spots, additional Radiant Spincrystals, and quest pacing improvements across the Nod-Krai region

The table below breaks down the Genshin Impact 6.7 update by category so you can see what's new at a glance.

Genshin Impact 6.7 New Character: Sandrone's Kit and Pull Value

Sandrone is the first playable Fatui Harbinger we've gotten since Arlecchino, and she doesn't play like anything else in the Cryo roster. She's a 5-star Cryo Claymore user built around a reaction HoYoverse calls "Star Superconduct." It's a variant of Superconduct that she can trigger directly within her own skill rotation. No separate Electro teammate needed.

Her elemental skill summons a mechanical construct that deals off-field Cryo damage while reducing enemy Cryo resistance. The twist: Sandrone's own attacks can trigger Star Superconduct procs against enemies marked by the construct. That means her damage output doesn't depend on reaction cooldowns the way most Cryo DPS units do. This gives her a self-contained damage loop. Pure hypercarry energy.

If you're pulling purely for account value, the real question is whether you need another on-field Cryo DPS. Wriothesley and Ayaka still hold their ground. But Sandrone offers something neither of them does: built-in Superconduct scaling that makes her viable in physical-leaning teams without forcing you to run an Electro slot you don't want. That flexibility is the selling point.

Her signature weapon, "A Teaspoon of Transcendence," is a claymore that boosts Crit DMG and increases Star Superconduct damage based on the wielder's ATK. It's a strong pull if you're committing to Sandrone, but it isn't the kind of universally useful weapon that justifies pulling the weapon banner on its own. The 4-star lineup on her banner (Beidou, Diona, and Mika) is solid without being spectacular. Diona, in particular, remains one of the game's most reliable shield-and-heal supports.

Genshin Impact 6.7 Banner Schedule: Every Rerun and the Chronicled Wish

The Genshin Impact 6.7 banner schedule is unusually dense. Two limited banners run in Phase 1 alongside a Heavenlit Prophecy chronicled wish. That's something we rarely see outside of anniversary patches.

    Phase 1 Banners (July 1-21)

"To the Looking-Glass the Mademoiselle Said" (Sandrone banner)

    • Sandrone (5-star Cryo Claymore)
    • Beidou (4-star Electro Claymore)
    • Diona (4-star Cryo Bow)
    • Mika (4-star Cryo Polearm)

    "Starry Night's Whispers" (Citlali rerun)

    • Citlali (5-star Cryo Catalyst)
    • Same 4-star lineup as Sandrone's banner

    Heavenlit Prophecy Chronicled Wish

    • Yumemizuki Mizuki (5-star Anemo Catalyst)
    • Wriothesley (5-star Cryo Catalyst)
    • Cyno (5-star Electro Polearm)
    • Yae Miko (5-star Electro Catalyst)
    • Qiqi (5-star Cryo Sword)

The chronicled wish is the biggest wildcard here. Wriothesley hasn't had a banner in what feels like forever. Yae Miko remains one of the strongest off-field Electro options in the game. If you've been waiting for either of them, this chronicled wish is your window. Just remember: chronicled wish pity is separate from limited banner pity. Plan your Primogems accordingly.

    Phase 2 Banners (July 21 - August 11)

"Somnias a Luna" (Columbina rerun) and "Reign of Serenity" (Raiden Shogun rerun)

Phase 2 is straightforward. Raiden Shogun remains one of the best universal supports in Genshin Impact. She slots into almost any team comp that wants energy regeneration and off-field Electro application. If you don't have her yet, this is a high-value pull. Columbina's rerun will appeal more to players who missed her initial run, and her value depends heavily on what team archetypes you're running.

Frost Moon and Dunana Chasm: The Genshin Impact 6.7 Map Expansion

Nod-Krai gets its biggest map expansion since the region was introduced. Two new areas open up in version 6.7, and they're connected through a central world quest chain. You can't just walk into both of them from the start.

Dunana Chasm is the easier one to reach. If you're Adventure Rank 20 or above and have completed the Mondstadt Archon Quest prologue, a teleport waypoint appears southwest of Misty Shoal in Nod-Krai. That gives you immediate access. It's a vertical zone built around layered cliff faces and underground caverns. Think The Chasm in Liyue but with Nod-Krai's colder, more industrial aesthetic.

The Frost Moon takes more work. You need to progress through the world quest "Gazing at the Moon" to get there, which ties into the version's larger narrative about the moon-worshiping factions in Nod-Krai. Once you're in, the Frost Moon introduces the Ancient Moon Remnants system. Two special locations open up: "Nur Silent Stone Array" and "Curtain-Form Dark Matter Cage Laboratory." Complete the world quests tied to them, then spend Moon Seals on offerings for rewards. It follows the same general template as the Tree of Dreams or Fountain of Lucine, but the progression is tied to exploration progress in the Frost Moon specifically.

New fishing spots and Radiant Spincrystals are scattered across both zones for completionists. The views alone justify the trip.

Summer Fontinalia Event and Quality of Life Changes

The flagship event of Genshin Impact 6.7 is Summer Fontinalia. It's a multi-phase event centered on the Vonnici Trading Company's summer trade fair in Nod-Krai. The event runs through most of the patch and rewards a free outfit for Charlotte. A nice bonus if you've had her sitting on the bench.

The event activities mix combat, exploration, and minigame-style challenges. Previous Genshin Impact summer events have set a high bar for production value, and based on the patch trailer, Summer Fontinalia follows the same pattern. Themed zones. Character cameos from across Teyvat. A story thread that ties into the larger Nod-Krai arc.

On the quality-of-life side, the patch notes mention quest pacing improvements and multi-layered terrain navigation in Nod-Krai. If you've been frustrated by quest prerequisites in earlier Nod-Krai patches, 6.7 smooths out several of those bottlenecks. Big difference.
