Neverness to Everness version 1.3 went live on August 19, and it's the kind of patch that gives returning players a concrete reason to log back in. Zankou headlines it as the new S-rank character, built around damage over time, but she isn't the whole story. A brand-new district called Duskmoor opens up with six Anomaly Commissions to chase, the game's first rerun banners bring back Nanally and Hotori, and two fresh vehicles make crossing Hethereau a little faster. If you've been drifting away between banners, the NTE 1.3 update is worth at least a skim before you decide whether to reinstall.

Neverness to Everness 1.3 Update: At a Glance

Here's the short version of what changed, before we dig into each piece:

    CategoryWhat changed
    New S-rankZankou, a damage-over-time DPS
New areaDuskmoor with six Anomaly Commissions
    Rerun bannersNanally and Hotori return
New vehiclesSirocco ATV and Tide jet ski
RewardsExploration points across the new district

No full rework of combat, no new element. This patch is mostly new faces and new places to spend your time.

Zankou: The New DoT DPS in Neverness to Everness 1.3

Zankou is the centerpiece, an S-rank whose whole kit revolves around damage over time. That's a deliberate gap-fill. Most of the launch roster wins fights by front-loading burst, so a character who instead stacks damage and lets it tick gives players a different tempo to build around. She can work as a main damage dealer or slide into a secondary DPS slot if you already have a carry you like.

Her signature Arc is Ravenous Blade, and it leans hard into critical stats. High crit rate plus high crit damage means her DoT ticks hit harder than they otherwise would, which is exactly the kind of weapon you'd pair with a kit that wins long fights rather than short ones. If you don't pull her weapon, the A-rank "Watch Your Heads" is the budget stand-in people point to first.

Do you actually need her? Against bosses and drawn-out fights where you can keep stacks rolling, she should feel strong. Against trash that dies in the first few hits, a DoT character can feel slow to ramp up. If your account is already drowning in burst damage, Zankou is a solid pull but not a necessity. If you've been waiting for the DoT playstyle to have a real home in NTE, she's that home. That's who she's for.

The New Duskmoor District in Neverness to Everness

Duskmoor is the fresh exploration zone in version 1.3, and it's packed with six Anomaly Commissions to solve. These commissions are the meat of the new district, each one a small investigation or puzzle that pays out exploration points. The points feed back into your account progression. That's the real draw, and it gives you a reason to wander rather than just pass through.

The structure matters more than any single puzzle. New districts in this game tend to launch with a handful of commissions and then expand in later patches, so Duskmoor reads like the opening wing of something bigger rather than a finished map. If you're the type who likes to clear exploration content the week it ships, the six commissions here are your to-do list. Just don't expect the area to feel as dense as the launch zones yet, since it's still the newest corner of Hethereau.

First Rerun Banners: Nanally and Hotori Return

Version 1.3 marks the first time Neverness to Everness has brought limited characters back, and it's starting with two: Nanally and Hotori. Reruns are a big deal in any gacha, because they're the signal that missing a launch banner no longer means missing a character forever.

That matters if you skipped either of them the first time around. Both were limited, so players who started after their banners ended had no way to grab them until now. The rerun gives those accounts a second shot, and it gives everyone else a chance to fill out a roster gap without waiting for a fresh character who does the same job.

One warning before you get swept up. Pulling on a rerun is still a pull, and you shouldn't chase one just because it's back. Nanally and Hotori are worth it if they fill a real hole in your teams. If they don't, save your summons for what comes next. Simple as that.

New NTE Vehicles: The Sirocco ATV and Tide Jet Ski

Version 1.3 also adds two vehicles to the garage: the Sirocco ATV and the Tide jet ski. The ATV is your land option for rough or mixed terrain, while the jet ski is the water move, which is genuinely useful in a city where rivers and coastline split up the map. Both are picked up with the game's Fons currency, so they're more of a grind milestone than a gacha pull.

This is the smaller change in the patch, but it's the kind of thing you notice every day. Hethereau is big, and anything that cuts down travel time quietly improves the moment-to-moment loop. If you only chase the new character and the new district, you can skip the vehicles without missing much. If you spend a lot of time commuting across the city, they're a quality-of-life win disguised as a content drop. Fair enough.

How to Download the Neverness to Everness 1.3 APK

The Neverness to Everness 1.3 APK is rolling out now, and APKPure usually carries the latest version within hours of the official release. If you're still on an older build, grab the update before you bother with any of the new content, since Zankou's banner and the Duskmoor district both require the current client.

Neverness to Everness 1.3 Update: The Bottom Line

Version 1.3 is a focused patch, not a full rework. Zankou gives DoT players a real main character, Duskmoor gives explorers a new district to clear, and the rerun banners give everyone a second chance at Nanally and Hotori. The two vehicles are a nice bonus, but they're hardly the reason to come back.

If any of that lines up with how you play, update the game and jump in. If none of it does, you aren't missing a fundamental shift, and you can always grab the latest Neverness to Everness APK when the next big banner or district lands.
