Unknown Worlds opens pre-purchase for Subnautica 2 on Steam, with pre-load also enabled for players who want to jump in as soon as Early Access begins. The pre-load window began 72 hours before launch, which means players can complete the download in advance and avoid waiting on release day. The game is also expected to launch on PC through other storefronts and on Xbox platforms, with day-one availability through Game Pass mentioned in coverage.

Subnautica 2 Hits Five Million Wishlists on Steam

The timing of the pre-order rollout comes just after Subnautica 2 passed 5 million wishlists on Steam, a major milestone that reflects strong interest from the community. Unknown Worlds celebrated the achievement by promising a Reaper Leviathan Statue blueprint for players, expanding the reward beyond the first-week bonus originally planned. That kind of response underscores how much attention the sequel has drawn before even reaching Early Access.
