Wuthering Waves 3.7 lands on September 30, 2026, and it's the biggest Mengzhou patch yet. Two new Electro Resonators, a new region, five Echoes, three Sonata Effects, and a stack of quality-of-life changes arrive in one drop. Kuro Games confirmed the full lineup during the Version 3.7 Preview Special Broadcast on September 19, after first teasing the Named Resonators back on September 12.

The official title is "Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination." That name matters less than what's inside: this is a version that touches nearly every system in the game, from your Echo Backpack to your camera.

Wuthering Waves 3.7 Release Date and What Arrives on September 30

The Wuthering Waves 3.7 release date is September 30, 2026, confirmed at the preview broadcast. Version 3.6 wraps up the same day, so there's no gap between patches.

If you haven't finished the Mengzhou main story, budget some time before launch. Chapter IV Act IV continues directly from where 3.6 left off, and the new area sits behind story progress. That's the practical constraint most players will hit first, not the download size.

The Wuthering Waves 3.7 update also lands mid-way through a steady monthly cadence. Anyone who skipped 3.6 can jump in without missing a beat. The new Main Quest Replay feature just makes catching up a lot gentler than it used to be.

Hsin and Suoming: The Two New Electro Resonators

Hsin and Suoming: The Two New Electro Resonators

Both new five-stars share the Electro element, which makes this the most Electro-dense patch in a while. Kuro confirmed both sets of Attributes and weapons on August 28, then locked their banner slots at the broadcast.

Two characters, same element, very different jobs.

Hsin is the headline. She's Mengzhou's Sentinel and the first playable Sentinel in Wuthering Waves. She wields a Rectifier and her signature weapon is Blooming Jadehaven. Her kit is built around Electro Flare: apply the mark, detonate it, and manage two separate gauges called Response and Illumination. The September gameplay footage showed two combat forms, two Resonance Liberations, and Unison attacks, plus Electro Flare Resonance Modes. None of that is in a published skill sheet yet. Treat the kit details as a preview, not a finalized read.

Design-wise, Hsin pulls from the Heart Moon Fox of the Azure Dragon constellations: fox ears, long white hair, a red and black outfit. She helped build Jinzhou alongside Jué and created Mengzhou's Autopuppets. The 3.5 main quest ended with Suisui entering Hsin's secret chamber, and 3.6 sent Rover chasing her frequency at the Fogveil Pagoda.

Suoming is the second five-star, and she fills a very different role. She's a Sword user from Huating with a Frequency-Locking signature power that seals a target's frequency and borrows their Forte. The hard cap sits at ten anchored frequencies. Ten borrowed Fortes at once, if you line everything up. Her signature weapon is Unspoken Rue, and she's the Founder and Seal Master of the Ten Seals Covenant.

Her storyline runs through the new photo collection event, where you visit locations with her directly. If you like a damage dealer who rewards setup over button-mashing, Suoming is the more interesting of the two, even if Hsin is the safer pull.

Wuthering Waves 3.7 Banners: Phase 1, Phase 2, and Reruns

The Wuwa 3.7 banners split cleanly into two 21-day phases. Phase 1 opens September 30 with Hsin as the new five-star, running alongside reruns for Chisa and Iuno. Phase 2 starts around October 21. Suoming takes that slot, joined by reruns for Lucilla and Lynae.

    PhaseNew ResonatorRerunsApproximate Dates
    Phase 1HsinChisa, IunoSept 30 - Oct 21, 2026
    Phase 2SuomingLucilla, LynaeOct 21 - Nov 11, 2026

That's four reruns across the version, which is a heavier rerun load than usual. It's good news if you missed Lucilla or Lynae the first time around. It's less good if you want both new Resonators and their signature weapons, because two limited five-stars plus two weapons in one patch is a real budget problem.

Pity carries over from 3.6 as always, so any pulls you've banked still count. Neither Hsin nor Suoming is free, despite some of the speculation floating around before the broadcast.

New Echoes and Sonata Effects in Wuthering Waves 3.7

Wuthering Waves 3.7 adds five new Echoes and three new Sonata Effects, which is the kind of change that reshuffles builds without a single character buff or nerf.

No balance patch required. Just new tools to build around.

The new Echoes are Formrender, Soulfrayer, Skywatch Lancer, Bloomburst Puppet, and Jade Nether Serpent. The three Sonata Effects are Heart of Sworn Vigil, Flash of Electric Reflection, and Flower of Tinged Yearning. A Phantom variant of Skywatch Lancer is also listed as obtainable.

The Sonata names are worth reading carefully if you already have a built Electro roster. Flash of Electric Reflection lines up directly with the two new Electro Resonators, so expect it to define the recommended sets for Hsin and Suoming the moment theorycrafters get their hands on it. Heart of Sworn Vigil and Flower of Tinged Yearning are broader and may slot into existing builds, depending on whether you can justify a two-piece over your current five-piece.

This is also where the Echo Backpack change pays off. Non-upgraded and unequipped Echoes that share the same type and stats now stack automatically, with each stack holding up to 999. Historically, that inventory pressure was the main reason players deleted good pieces by accident. Not anymore.

New Area and Story: Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou

The Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou opens in 3.7 as a new explorable region. It's the centerpiece of the version outside the banners. It also comes with its own exploration event, Dreams in the Capsule, which rewards Astrites and premium materials as you clear objectives.

The story continues with Chapter IV Act IV: Simulacrum of the Heart, plus a Tales Quest called Moonlike Heart, Mortal Longing. Blooms for the Shadow arrives as permanent content rather than a limited event. That changes how you should pace yourself. Permanent content doesn't need to be rushed during launch week. Anything with a dated reward screen does.

If you're the type who sprints through a new area in the first three days and then complains there's nothing left, this patch gives you permission to slow down. Unlock the travel points, find the systems that gate Echo and event access, and leave the completionist checklist for later.

Events, Login Rewards, and Free Pulls in 3.7

Kuro confirmed nine events for the version, split across in-game and web activities. Here's the full slate:

    • Cubie Wars - a leisure event that pits you against other cubie characters with magic items. Rewards include Astrites, an exclusive sigil, and an avatar
    • Gifts of Waking Moon - a recurring seven-day login event giving five Lustrous Tides and five Radiant Tides
    • Gifts of Singing Drizzle - a second login event running October 22 to November 11, giving Radiant Tide x10, Crystal Solvent x10, and Premium Tuner x100
    • Echo Erase - a match-three leisure event with Astrites and upgrade materials
    • Dreams in the Capsule - area exploration event tied to the Simulacrum Nexus
    • Past Dream, Traced Seals - a photo collection event where you explore with Suoming
    • Artisan's Search - a featured combat event
    • Beyond the Waves: Land of Xuanfang - a recurring Lollo Campaign event
    • Waking Moon Fishing and Back to Solaris - two web events

The two login events together hand out a meaningful chunk of pulls for free. Log in daily even if you're not playing through the new content yet. The October 22 start date for Gifts of Singing Drizzle is worth marking on a calendar. It lands well after many players have stopped paying attention to the patch.

System Changes: Main Quest Replay, Camera, and Tiered Downloads

This is the section that affects every account, banners or not. Kuro is shipping four changes that matter daily.

Main Quest Replay arrives through the Journey Log, letting you rewatch and replay the main story. At launch, replay reaches the quest To the Shore's End, and progress can be saved, resumed, or reset, with more chapters planned later. This is more useful than a cutscene gallery because it restores playable sequences, not just videos.

The Camera System grows with new Handheld and Selfie modes, which is a small addition on paper but a big one for screenshot culture. Team management now supports up to 20 customizable team setups, double the old ceiling, plus an optional 3D display mode.

The most consequential change for mobile players is a limited test of Tiered Client Resource Downloads across PC, iOS, and Android. You pick between UHD, HD, and SD resource packages, trading visual fidelity for storage space depending on your device. If your phone has been straining under the game's footprint, the SD package is the option you've been waiting for. Kuro is calling it a limited test, so it may not roll out to everyone at once.

What Wuthering Waves 3.7 Means for Players

The honest read: 3.7 is a systems patch dressed up as a character patch, and that's a compliment. Hsin and Suoming will get the headlines, but the changes that stick around are the Echo stacking, the tiered downloads, and Main Quest Replay.

So who should pull? If you run an Electro team, this version is an easy upgrade. Flash of Electric Reflection gives you a new set to chase, and both new Resonators slot into the same element. Any investment in Electro pays off twice. If Electro isn't your thing, the pull pressure drops considerably and you can save for whatever comes after Mengzhou.

The rerun lineup complicates things. Four returning five-stars in one version means the banners are generous for newer players but brutal for anyone who wants everything. Pick one new Resonator. Stick with it. Let the other pass.

Update the game on September 30 and log in that day for Gifts of Waking Moon. Everything else can wait a week.

One safety note before you update: verify the app's permissions after installing and stick to the official store listing or a trusted source. Version 3.7 adds storage-tier options, so double-check which resource package you selected if you're tight on space.

Wuthering Waves 3.7 is worth updating on day one if you play regularly. The Echo stacking and tiered downloads fix real friction, Main Quest Replay makes returning after a break far less painful, and the new region gives the Mengzhou arc a proper centerpiece. Download the latest version from APKPure before September 30 so the patch is ready the moment servers go live. Grab the app now and you'll be exploring the Simulacrum Nexus on launch day instead of watching a progress bar.
