Genshin Impact Tier Lists July 2026: Best Characters Ranked for Version 6.7 Luna VIII

2026-07-24
Genshin Impact tier list for July 2026 covering the strongest characters in version 6.7 Luna VIII. S-tier, A-tier, and B-tier rankings with Sandrone, Mavuika, Neuvillette, and more.
The Luna VIII update shifts the Genshin Impact meta in a few meaningful ways. Sandrone brings the new Stellar Superconduct reaction, which gives Cryo teams a fresh damage ceiling, and the Lunar comps built around Columbina are still the strongest overall archetype. This Genshin Impact character ranking covers all the top picks as of version 6.7, based on Spiral Abyss performance, team flexibility, and how well they fit into the current endgame.
Genshin Impact 6.7 Character Tier Overview
| Tier | Characters |
|---|---|
| SS | Mavuika, Neuvillette, Furina, Sandrone, Columbina |
| S | Arlecchino, Skirk, Xilonen, Kazuha, Bennett, Nahida, Citlali |
| A | Raiden Shogun, Zhongli, Yelan, Xiangling, Xingqiu, Chasca, Varka, Flins |
| B | Wriothesley, Alhaitham, Navia, Clorinde, Nefer, Linnea |
SS-Tier Genshin Impact Characters
Mavuika stays at the top. Her Melt teams hit harder than anything else in the game, and the Pyro resonance buff from the current Spiral Abyss floor 11 makes her even more dominant. The tradeoff is that she's more execution-heavy than the Lunar comps — if you can land your melts, she outpaces everyone. If not, Neuvillette is the safer pick.
Neuvillette hasn't moved. He's still the most consistent Hydro hypercarry, works with almost any off-field support, and the HP-scaling meta hasn't faded. His self-sustain means you can run him without a dedicated healer in most content.
Furina is the glue holding half the meta together. Her damage buff scales higher the more HP fluctuation your team has, which the current endgame modes encourage. She's incompatible with Lunar teams, which is her only real limitation, but outside of that she's the premium support.
Sandrone debuts in SS-tier, which is rare for a new character. Her Stellar Superconduct reaction lets Cryo teams bypass the typical reaction setup, and she deals the reaction damage herself through her skill and burst. That self-sufficiency pushes her output past most existing Cryo DPS units — making her arguably the best DPS Genshin Impact has added in the Luna cycle.
Columbina enables the Lunar comps that are still the strongest overall archetype. Her Hydro application and team-wide Lunar reaction triggers make Nefer's Lunar-Bloom and Flins's Lunar-Charged teams possible. She's not a hypercarry herself, but she's the enabler that makes hypercarries work.
S-Tier Genshin Impact Characters
Arlecchino is still the strongest Pyro DPS outside of Mavuika. Her Bond of Life mechanic gives her huge damage windows, and she doesn't rely on reactions to clear rooms. The current Abyss favors Pyro, so she's in a strong spot.
Skirk's Freeze team has dropped slightly since Lunar comps took over, but it's still a cut above most non-Lunar teams. Furina being locked out of Lunar teams means Skirk keeps her, and that synergy keeps Skirk relevant.
Xilonen is the best Geo support in the game. Her debuff stacking and team-wide Geo resonance make her a staple in any team that runs a Geo slot — which is more teams than you'd think in the current meta.
Kazuha is still Kazuha. Elemental DMG bonus, crowd control, and VV shred. He slots into almost any reaction team and immediately makes it better.
Bennett and Nahida round out S-tier as the evergreen supports. Bennett's ATK buff hasn't been powercrept. Nahida's Dendro application is still unmatched.
Citlali holds her value as a Cryo shielder who also buffs Cryo teams. With Sandrone entering the roster, Citlali's value goes up, not down.
A-Tier Genshin Impact Characters
Raiden Shogun gets a rerun banner in phase two, and she's still a strong Electro option — just not as dominant as she was in the 3.x and 4.x eras. Hyperbloom teams still work, and her energy generation is still unique.
Zhongli is the comfort pick. His shield trivializes most content, and any team that needs a fourth slot and doesn't know what to put there can put Zhongli.
Yelan, Xiangling, and Xingqiu remain the backbone of reaction teams. They haven't fallen off. They're just not the flashy new thing.
Varka (released in 6.4) and Flins (from 6.5) are solid but not S-tier. Varka's dual-wield mechanic is fun but situational. Flins's Lunar-Charged teams are good but outshone by Columbina comps.
Genshin Impact Tier List: What Changed in 6.7
The biggest shift is Cryo getting a real damage ceiling again. Before Luna VIII, Cryo DPS options were mostly freeze-reliant, which fell off when Abyss started spamming bosses. Sandrone's Stellar Superconduct gives Cryo a reaction that works against unfreezable enemies, which is the entire reason she's in SS-tier.
The other change is Columbina's first rerun. If you missed her in 6.5, this phase two banner is your shot at unlocking Lunar comps.
