How to Install Actions and Stuff on Minecraft Bedrock: A Complete Setup Guide

2026-07-22
Learn how to install Actions and Stuff on Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Step-by-step guide covering Marketplace, free APK method, resolution setup, and troubleshooting tips.
Getting Actions and Stuff up and running takes about five minutes if you know the steps. This guide walks through both installation methods, the Marketplace route and the free APK route, plus how to pick the right resolution and fix common setup problems.
Pick the method that works for you. Both deliver the same animations.
Before You Start
Make sure you have Minecraft Bedrock Edition installed on your device. Actions and Stuff is a resource pack that runs inside Minecraft, it's not a standalone app. If you don't have Minecraft yet, download the latest version first.
Also check that your device meets the minimum requirements. The pack works on Android, iOS, Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. On Android, 2GB of RAM will handle the 16x and 32x versions smoothly. For the 64x Complete Experience, you want 4GB or more.
Method 1: Install Through the Minecraft Marketplace
This is the official route and the simplest one.
Step 1: Open Minecraft and go to the Marketplace. From the main menu, click the Marketplace button. It looks like a storefront icon.
Step 2: Search for Actions and Stuff. Type "Actions and Stuff" in the search bar. The pack by Oreville Studios should appear first, with its 4.9-star rating badge. Select it.
Step 3: Purchase or download. The pack costs 1,690 Minecoins. If you have a Marketplace Pass subscription, you'll see the discounted price of roughly 422 Minecoins. Click the purchase button and confirm.
Step 4: Apply the pack to your world. After purchase, the pack downloads automatically. Go to Settings from the main menu, scroll down to Global Resources, and activate Actions and Stuff. It applies to all worlds unless you change per-world settings.
On Xbox and PlayStation, the steps are identical, the Marketplace interface looks the same across all Bedrock platforms.
Method 2: Install Using the Free APK (Android Only)
Oreville Studios provides a free APK on its website. This bundles the animation pack so it activates without going through the Marketplace.
Step 1: Download the Actions and Stuff APK. Go to the official Oreville Studios website and find the download page. You'll see options for APK (about 247MB) and MCPACK (about 18MB). The APK version is pre-configured to apply the pack automatically when you open Minecraft.
Step 2: Enable unknown sources. On your Android device, go to Settings → Security → Install unknown apps and allow your browser or file manager to install APKs. This setting varies by phone brand, on Samsung devices, it's under Biometrics and Security.
Step 3: Install the APK. Tap the downloaded file and confirm the installation. Your phone might show a warning about installing apps from outside Google Play. Tap "Install anyway."
Step 4: Open Minecraft. Launch Minecraft Bedrock Edition. The Actions and Stuff pack activates automatically. You don't need to go to Global Resources or enable anything manually.
Step 5: Verify it's working. Start a new world or load an existing one. If your character breathes, bounces while walking, and mobs move with new animations, the pack is active.
The MCPACK file is an alternative for players who prefer importing through Minecraft's file system. On Android, use a file manager to open the MCPACK, Minecraft will detect it and import the pack. Then enable it in Global Resources the same way as a Marketplace pack.
Picking the Right Resolution
Actions and Stuff ships at three resolutions. Choosing the right one matters for performance, pick too high and your game stutters, pick too low and you miss visual detail.
16x (Compatible Experience): Best for budget devices and older phones with 2GB RAM. You get the full animation set, breathing, combat combos, mob behaviors, just with lighter textures. Use this if your phone struggles with the higher tiers.
32x (Vanilla Experience): The sweet spot for most mid-range Android devices. Better texture detail than 16x without the heavy GPU demand of 64x. If your phone runs vanilla Minecraft at 60 FPS, start here.
64x (Complete Experience): Full visual fidelity for high-end phones, tablets, and gaming PCs. Requires 4GB+ RAM and a capable GPU. The pack looks its best here, especially with the Vibrant Visuals integration from version 1.8.
Switch resolutions from the in-game Settings menu under Global Resources. Find Actions and Stuff in your active packs list and tap the gear icon to adjust.

Troubleshooting Common Setup Problems
The Pack Doesn't Appear in Global Resources
After installing through the Marketplace, the pack should show up in Global Resources automatically. If it doesn't, restart Minecraft and check again. On the APK method, make sure you opened Minecraft after installation, the pack only activates when Minecraft detects the new files.
Animations Look Wrong or Missing
Check that Actions and Stuff is at the top of your resource pack stack. Other packs below it might override its animations. Go to Settings → Global Resources and drag Actions and Stuff above any other active texture packs.
Game Crashes or Lags After Installing
Your resolution is probably too high for your device. Drop to 16x and test again. If it still lags, close background apps to free up RAM. On older phones with 1GB RAM, the pack might push the limits even at 16x, consider running the pack only in single-player worlds, not on busy multiplayer servers.
Can't Install the APK on Android
The "Install unknown apps" permission is per-app. If you downloaded the APK through Chrome, enable the permission for Chrome specifically, not just your file manager. Also check that you have enough storage, the APK is about 247MB, and you need additional space for Minecraft itself.
Keeping the Pack Updated
Oreville Studios pushes updates through the Marketplace automatically. If you installed through the Marketplace, go to the Marketplace → My Packs and check for pending updates. For APK users, you'll need to download the latest version from the developer's website when major updates drop.
Version 1.11 is the current release as of June 2026, adding Vibrant Visuals compatibility and broader texture pack support. The developer has consistently released updates every few months, so check back for new animations and features.
